I have been recently thinking about what makes great artists great. What is that feeling or thing, that invisible sense. That thing that when you see a piece of art, a performance or listen to a song you are deeply touched. It moves you. It brings you to other places. What is that superpower? What is that skill? Where does it come from? Why some people have that thing and we all know it, feel it while others don't.
Authenticity comes to my mind. And now what is authenticity. According to Cambridge dictionary it is to be real or true. I thing it takes courage and vulnerability. You can't hide. When you allow yourself to be authentic you become a vessel for something bigger. Something which is connecting us all. Than we feel deeply touched.
